Taran’s VEX IQ hardware suggestions/gripes
Taran给VEX IQ机器人套装的建议和吐槽
Brain:
Add a driver control mode with sensors disabled.(No need unplug them)
Add ability to dim or turn off the backlight
Add subtle noise cues during menu navigation
机器人的大脑:
增加禁用传感器的驱动控制模式(无须拆卸感应器)。
增加调暗和关掉背光的能力。
在菜单导航中加入细微的声音提示。
Paper instructions:
Final instructional image of robot should have a diagram of what peripherals plug into what ports.
Instructions need 1:1 references for standoffs, axles, and angled pieces.
Instructions need more descriptive piece names like “2*16 beam”
A testing mat/line following course could be printed on the reverse side of the poster.
纸质说明书:
最后一幅演示图应有明确的图解说明到底哪个外设插入哪个口。
说明书里螺母柱、轴承、直角弯头的图示应1:1比例的还原。
说明书里应该有更多的诸如“2*16型横梁”的零件描述名。
测试用的绕垫/线行进路线图应该印在海报的背面。
Kit contents:
More 2*2 pins, fewer 1*1 pins. (in my humble opinion)
Use different default colors for capped axles
Use different default colors for the different sizes of pins.
套装内容:
增加更多2*2的柱状连接件,减少1*1的柱状连接件。(在下不成熟的建议)
使用不同的默认颜色区别不同的加盖轴。

Pieces:
Axles will grip too tightly or too loosely. Quite annoying. Requires rubber shaft collars, which waste space.
Increase the selection of gears available the store. (more bevel gears!)
零件:
轴有时太紧有时太松。很讨厌。需要橡胶轴圈,但占用空间很大。
增加齿轮的分类区,使其能够容易存储。(增加更多扇形齿轮!)
Modkit:
Add copy/paste and undo
Add the ability to delete cloud saved files
There are no intermediate or advanced tutorials.
Modkit软件:
增加复制/粘贴和撤销功能。
增加删除云储存文件的功能。
增加中级和进阶教程。
VEX IQ firmware updater tool:
Does not install the correct ROBOTC firmware, despite saying otherwise.
Interferes with ROBOTC by blocking the serial port.
VEX IQ机器人固件升级工具:
不论提示如何,就是不能正确安装ROBOTC固件
会通过屏蔽串口来干扰ROBOTC软件。

ROBOTC graphical:
Add copy/paste and undo
Add variables (in my opinion)
ROBOTC图形编程模式:
增加复制/粘贴和取消选项。
增加变量。(我个人认为)
ROBOTC textual for VEXIQ:
Example programs should NOT be overwriteable
Some kind of pop-up guidance for built-in functions would be very useful
Automatic window resizing during code upload adds a pointless delay
There is documentation, but no step-by-step tutorials.
VEX IQ的ROBOTC文字编程模式:
实例程序不应该允许覆盖。
内建函数如果有弹出式提示会很有用。
代码上载时自动调节窗口尺寸会带来无意义的延迟。
只有文档,而没有步骤指导教程。
